Many of us have experienced the profound impact of a mentor—someone who taught us crucial skills, inspired our career paths, and instilled values that shaped our lives. These mentors provided us with a unique perspective that influenced how we view ourselves and navigate challenges. They made us feel valued and capable. Every child deserves this kind of support to unlock their full potential.
At Mentors for Youth, we are dedicated to matching children aged 6-14 with caring mentors who provide the time, attention, and encouragement they need. With 33 active mentor matches currently depending on funding and 10 more children waiting for support, the need is urgent. Our 31 Supporters in 31 Days Challenge, running throughout August, aims to engage 31 new supporters. We are reaching out to new donors and reconnecting with past supporters to secure the financial backing needed to train more mentors, organize essential activities, and ensure our programs continue to thrive.
